  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Design Ideas

I fully support this idea, and would love a 2-door... but it appears 4-door is the direction they're heading, and where most of the customers are these days. Just look at how many 4-door broncos and wranglers you see on the road compared to their 2-door variants. This idea is still possible as a...

    Dog Thread

What type of dog is Jim? We adopted Buster from a shelter and are pretty sure he is a Boykin Spaniel (rejected for having too much white), but never DNA tested him. He looks very similar to your Jim, so I'm curious. He tends to look a little different depending on grooming and pose, but here is...

Scout Should Offer a Conventional Hybrid Motor Option

Indeed RAM (not Dodge any longer) is doing something interesting that I see as another transitional solution from their legacy platform. In terms of performance, range, and towing ability, it delivers what many truck customers are asking for: >600 HP and lb-ft of torque, 0-60 in 4.4 seconds...

Scout Should Offer a Conventional Hybrid Motor Option

In my experience, most people who are opposed to an EV have never driven one or even been for a ride in one. I'm reminded of that famous Henry Ford quote, "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." FTR, an EV is faster than horses and smells better.

    Scout Color Poll #1

I like the way you think. I drive orange vehicles, and think the world would be more interesting if we were all driving skittles colors instead of so many white, black, and silver vehicles.

    Scout II style window shape

I understand the blind spot concern, but that's really only a blind spot if you turn your head around to look (which most of us grew up doing, I get it). However technology these days offers solutions that can change the behavior of drivers. For example, blind spot monitoring is generally...

    Sunroof please!

The multiple-panel removable roof solution to me is the way to go, probably more similar to Bronco than Jeep, light, 3 pieces. Maybe offer something like clear lids (https://www.clearlidz.com/) as an option to swap in for the front panels. I would love to see the back windows operable as well. I...

    Suggestions from Andre at TFL

I know it's a year-old article, but Andre over at TFL offered some great suggestions for what he'd like to see with the new Scout. https://tfltruck.com/2022/11/scout-motors-launches-its-website-with-this-teaser-image-what-would-you-like-a-future-scout-truck-suv-to-be/ I would echo his...

Why do you like to go off-road?

I've been off-roading since 2000 when I bought my first Xterra and honed my skills keeping up with a local Xterra club when I was the only one there who didn't have 4WD. Since then I've owned a second Xterra (2004 with 4WD) and now an 08 Hummer H3, but I've driven dozens of different vehicles...

Scout Should Offer a Conventional Hybrid Motor Option

Keep in mind that Scout likely won't be delivering vehicles to the public until 2026, that is a few years for the charging infrastructure landscape to evolve. I think everyone would agree there is room for improvement in that regard, but there is also a big push (both public and private) to fix...
