  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Scout Design Team Feedback V1

I saw a lot of really good ideas here. My needs are general and this might be a little late for the original post but I was recently introduced to the site by a friend who knows I love my scout. 1. Customized to personal style and preference without breaking the bank. 2. Easy to find my scout...

    Daily Driver Comforts

As long as you have some manual way of getting in as a back up for my walking EMP days these obtains are great. Yesterday I put my dog in the back and started my car (not a scout) to warm it up while I deiced it. My car has a tendency to automatically lock, so I took my fob out with me as a...

    Daily Driver Comforts

I agree with number 4. Vechle at work has a side port that is way more inconvenient and oddly placed. I wonder if you could have a design like the phone charging station that goes under your car so you could just drive over it without plugging in at home.

    Daily Driver Comforts

I have a bench seat in my Scout II I got used to driving with my right leg pressed against the center hump for heat in addition to feeling lucky to have that added fan heater mounted under the dash. My dads Scout II had bucket seats and no heater. He kept his plugged in with a block heater. But...

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I love a lot of the ideas here. I’m a walking EMP at times, I would love a button for those days that puts it all back to the basics. Oh and one button to darken everything to prevent night blindness.

App / Touchscreen Interaction and Ideas

J Allen I love the park mode projector idea. For me the concept brings back memories of my childhood. We used to sit on the hood of my Dads 1973 Scout II and watch fireworks, drive in movies, and all kinds of astrological phenomena. Thanks for the memories!

    Scout Design Ideas

I love how my scout II looks and how you can see, feel, and drive the road. Most cars bore me to drive. Reasonable priced, electric, heated mini beast with that old school scout II look and feel would be a dream. Please Don’t forget the little triangle window when you want fresh air on a cold day.

    1976 Scout II “Odderblue”

My Scout got the nickname “Odderblue” because there were two blue Scout IIs in the lot. She was the odderblue one. She was my first car and still my favorite to drive. My brother decided this was my car and gave me part of the money to buy her. I am the third owner. She is a little mini beast...
