  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Avoiding the nonsense

I just got that recall letter today. I have never had a problem buckling or unbuckling my seatbelt, but I disabled the seatbelt warning with forscan and hardly ever wear it.

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

The Base bronco with the Sasquatch package is only about 35k and broncos are very easy to work on compared to most modern vehicles. If you want to gripe about the cost of parts for them, I won’t disagree.

    Scout Quality

My bronco has a hard top. I’ve even taken it off and put it back on a few times. Never seen a drop inside after taking it through car washes. I still think the top could be much better, but not because of any leaks. I’d take it to a different dealer, some service departments are just shit. First...

    Things to Avoid

That’s one of the things I disabled in my bronco using forscan.

    Color Wishlist

Whatever colors they go with, if they’re gonna offer the paint protection wrap, they should offer the wrap in clear or matte. Ford offered it on the bronco and then took that option off the table because they were falling so far behind, but they only offered clear. Lots of people have gone out...

    Daily Driver Comforts

Yeah, but the minimum distance is not close enough on a lot of them. You gotta be able to set it for like three car lengths if you don’t want people cutting you off.

    Wheel clearance

I’m not a fan of the look of the flares on the broncos. I replaced my Sasquatch flares with the smaller ones. It does look better, but still not great. All of the early aftermarket options were ugly as hell, but I’m sure we’ll keep getting more options. I think ford and jeep both use the...

    Daily Driver Comforts

Adaptive cruise control is great, but you need to be able to set it to follow at a fairly close distance or else you just keep getting cut off on the freeway.

    Decals

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I don’t like stickers. Either way, stickerfab can make you whatever you like and it would probably be cheaper than decal options from the factory.

    Rims and Tires

White wagon wheels would be a cool retro look. It would be a good option. I’m a fan of stock wheels too if they don’t suck, but they usually suck, especially on 4x4s. I could see them using the BFG k02s, I doubt they’d offer a real mud tire. Ford calls those Goodyear Territories a mud tire, but...

    Rims and Tires

If you read any of the Bronco and Jeep boards, it seems like half of the new owners go aftermarket right off the bat. And if you look at any of those “show us your tires/wheels threads”, you’ll see that everyone has their own individual style, especially with the Broncos because so many people...

    Rims and Tires

They could offer a thousand different rim/tire combinations and many people would still opt for aftermarket. Besides the thousands of different aftermarket wheel styles and finishes available, a lot of people are going to want a negative offset for a wider stance or because they like the look of...
