  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Not competition for Scout, however...

:ROFLMAO: You were (are) probably a bully. If you do not like my posts and have a lack of self control then you should block me so you do not feel compelled to read them. It will be a shame if you bleed-out through your weak eye holes.

Another very clean design concept from which to draw inspiration. Audi apprentices turn vintage NSU Prinz into electric hot rod

    Scout Color Poll #1

Scout Motors could be the first manufacturer to offer custom wraps. Just sayin'

    Function over form

Toyota is announcing a Land Cruiser for the U.S. market which will have retro FJ styling. This is good news for competition, but reminds me of the "make it look off-roady" trends some auto designers follow by placing form over function. I think Toyota is as bad (or good) at doing this as any...

Renders from VW Markets Day Event

I trust the designers are on the right path. A modern take on Scout grills of the past with clean and simple lines is my preference. Same feedback for tail lights, markers, bumpers, side mirrors, antenna(s), door handles...etc..

    Scout Design Ideas

@J Alynn Interested in hearing your expectation for Scout. In a comparable situation to the one you describe, do you personally expect/desire that any water that enters the Scout will drain out of the cabin space? The Bronco (with MGV) does offer a drain hole in the floor for front...

    More Renderings

I too prefer rounded headlights, though the light bar design is not bad. This rendering does not inspire... I personally prefer a design that leans on "heritage" while having modern lines which make the design unique from other SUVs. Ford accomplished this with the 2 door Bronco...

    Included DVR

Yes to an integrated dash cam and sentry mode. I don't have those features with my current vehicles, however I have cameras at every angle. Love the birds eye view.

    Scout Motors strategy for aftermarket?

@Jamie@ScoutMotors What is the team thinking about supporting an aftermarket? What brought this to mind is whether or not Scout Motors will provide true weight bearing rock sliders or if there will be mounting points provided for a 3rd party to utilized. The question really extends to any...

You've gotta read the post to understand the context. ;)

    Not competition for Scout, however...

This is not for me, however i know there are several people on this forum who are interested in removable doors. These inserts are manufactured/sold by a 3rd party for the vehicle aftermarket.

    Electric back window

I am down (and up) for an electric window if it can work with the removable top and spare tire. I imagine a full size spare hanging on the tailgate or bumper. @Jamie@ScoutMotors can we see some sketches of the front and rear?
