  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

This article get you thinking about Ev

That only works if you have a DeLorean.

This article get you thinking about Ev

I have to agree with @Bodie. An EV's range is hugely dependent on the driver. The range than most, if not all, manufacturers advertise is the best case scenario, and it's "up to" . Some drivers will see the agvertized range and maybe even more. Others will be way under, but there are many...

    SCOUT CONCEPT 9-16-23

@J Alynn It's a fair point. Ideally, a perfect mix of retro and modern styling, plus trusted and reliable technology combined with an advanced electric drive train. That's probably the best way to keep old fans happy, while getting the new EV crowd nterested. A quick side point. That...

Hummer EV Breaks - This CANNOT Happen to the Scout

Isn't it a federal requirement for manufacturers to provide an 8-year Warranty on the battery and propulsion systems? Well, I can actually answer my own questions, it is. That's what I was told when I was buying my Bolt EUV, and I looked it up just now, it is a Federal Government Requirement. 8...

    SCOUT CONCEPT 9-16-23

I also like this concept a lot, I can see something like this as a potential entry level model in the future. At this point in time, electric vehicles are still somewhat of a luxury item in most peoples' minds, so of course the first real vehicles will have to be a bit more futuristic (as...

Will the new Scout have autonomous driving

Hmm, this a an interesting question. I guess I'm right in the middle at 38 years young, and personally, I have no interest in any autonomous driving features, but I have to admit, I've never experienced them either (I dont think that the gental lane correction in my Bolt counts). So if Scout...

    What Are You Driving Now?

Cool, going all electric looks like? I still keep an ICE vehicle as a back up to our Chevy Bolt EUV, but there are ways to make all electric household work. My brother has been living with an electric vehicle only for a few years, and if he has a road trip, for example, he simply rents an ICE...

Not Scout Related - Who's excited for Starfield?!

Well, I have a confession to make. Even though I tried to be rational and hold on, I'm a big fan of Fallout games, and the "Fallout in Space" pitch got to me, so I went ahead and got it. It's pretty good so far, I'm actually impressed. I expected to be buggy, but no issues yet, and it runs well...

The EV transition will not be easy or not even successfull.

Transition, for a brand like Ford, might be hard, and honestly, I don't know if they're really trying, but for an all electric brand, there don't seem to be too many issues (see Tesla). I resisted electric cars for a very long time too, but finally gave in and bought one earlier this year, and...

Not Scout Related - Who's excited for Starfield?!

I am interested, but IDK if I want to say excited. Looks like it will be a decent game, but knowing Bethesda we can expect it to be buggy at launch. I still haven't finished the Outer Worlds, or Diablo 4, or by looking at my library, any of the games I've bought in the past several years, so I...

    Publication Renders

I like the first one. To me, it looks like a perfect mix of modern and boxy (which is what everyone seems to want these days), and retro and classic. To be fair, Scouts have always been boxy, so that point might actually go to the retro side of things too.

    Scout EV and Tax Credits

The "up to" $7500 Tax Credit is a very powerful incentive. From personal experience. I was cross shopping Chevy Bolt EUV (qualifies) and Hyundai Kona EV (does not qualify). They're very similar vehicles, but the tax credit moves them far apart in terms of pricing. I went with the Bolt EUV (not...

    What Are You Driving Now?

Daily driver is a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. Just bought this one in March of this year. Love the gas savings with today's crazy prices. Second vehicle is my previous and always reliable 2015 Toyota Highlander Platinum. Mostly stays in the garage now, but so great to have when I need to transport...
