  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout CEO says he'll have real buttons

Thank you for making the proper choice here. I think everyone has gotten a bit carried away with touch screens. After trying the 12" screen in a ram I was thrilled to buy one with an 8.4" and physical buttons.

    Scout Color Poll #1

Voted, I don't envy anyone who needs to choose colors right now! My current favorites on production vehicles in no particular order: Ford's tri-coat red Jeep's bikini pearl Reflex silver - I'd love to see this with a little more tint in the clear.

    Chrome trim package

I'm not a huge fan of chromed plastic. When I bought my Ram I specifically avoided the limited package because of the stick on chrome plastic trim. I ended up with a chrome grill that I don't mind, except that it is mismatched to the grill in the bumper. I hate the chrome mirrors, but I guess...

First Scout off the assembly line: FC501 is fully restored...

I got to meet Phil at his place in Colorado last year. What an incredible man who had a hand in not only building but keeping scout owners supplied with impossible to find parts through the years when scouts were not well received or loved. I sincerely hope Scout Motors has a plan to honor...

    The Ward's auto podcast discussion

I'm excited about what you guys are doing and the excitement really does come across to me! I sent the podcast link to some friends of mine. People that pretty much exclusively buy Land Cruisers, Wranglers, 4runners, Broncos, and other capable 4x4s. They are excited that I'm excited about the...

    1961 Scout 80

Sorry it took so long! your name sounds familiar, I just can't place it though. I know I've seen it SOMEWHERE. 🤣 Anyway, I have this book written by John Glancy and some other dude. I think this one was built between 10/10/1961 and 10/14/1961 using the dates and production numbers in there...

    The Ward's auto podcast discussion

After listing to the Ward's Auto podcast with Mr. Keogh I have a few thoughts. Words on a screen often come across as significantly more aggressive than intended. I'm offering a mild critique. This is not an attack or castigation nor am I looking to censure anyone. Quite the opposite, I have a...

Jeep's Design Leader heads to Scout Motors

I have a 2019 ram 2500 and a 2019 JLUR. If those are on his resume I have a lot of confidence he will honor the scout properly while making a comfortable interior with modern amenities. Welcome Mr. Benjamin!

    Removable top is a must

Mounting is a challenge. Putting holes in the top to pass hardware through has a high potential of leaks and rips. There is a solution. It's a very creative solution for those wanting a soft top, just not my cup of tea...

    Removable top is a must

Why not have the roof panels set directly on the roll protection? It would give the option for side panels removed like the Jeep 1-touch sky top, and the option to remove the roof panel entirely. This would allow the load from the rooftop accessories to pass through to the roll protection. It...

    Scout Design Team Feedback V1

Since you said today and there's only a few responses, I'll toss in some more thoughts. Ability to be serviced and upgraded with tools available to skilled enthusiasts. Think about aftermarket possibly throughout. Make it reasonable to customize, lift and add strength to the drivetrain...

    Second Scout Teaser Image Released

Is there a rear teaser yet? I'm no where near as talented as RubiReady with Photoshop, but to me this screams modern scout. I'm partial to the 80s, but I think something like this combines design cues from each. I think I'd be slightly disappointed if it takes all of its styling from the...

    Removable top is a must

Yes. My wife's Rubicon has the swing out gate and It's an inconvenience often. Far more so than our previous Wranglers have been. Often we need to pull the jeep forward to load it up if someone parks behind us at a store. With the YJ and TJ it wasn't so bad because they were so small. You...
